Watch your Pride!

Wow! June 1st! This year is flying by. For the last couple of years it has been posted that June is Pride month. I have never seen this before, since it is my birthday month. Never had to share it with such nonsense!

I want to share with you this month from my heart. I was thinking the other day, while I was in Target. Yes, you heard me, I went to Target. LOL. As I was looking around I saw all this merchandise, I had a thought. People are full of themselves, They are Prideful! It means when we focus on making ourselves feel better by making others feel smaller and insignificant. The questions are “Do they really know Jesus? “, “Do they really love Jesus?”, or “Do they have a relationship with Jesus?” Our actions speak volumes. People are on about themselves, they are even taking selfies. They have to have it their way. People get so offended so easily. Prideful people are usually haughty and arrogant. I am not talking about transgenders at this moment. It’s unholy to have a prideful spirit. 2 Timothy 3:1-4: In the last days they will be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boaster, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unfaithful and unholy. They are traitors, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God!

Let’s not get entangled with being all about me. Let’s get our mind off of ourselves in what we want or need. Let’s get on with doing for others! Close up this month by not having a spirit of Pride but let us be humble. James 4:6: Resist the proud and give grace to the humble. Let’s give out more grace and love toward others this month!

I can bet your eyes are not on Jesus. We are looking at what we see and not by faith. (2 Corinthians 5:7) Our life with Jesus is a faith walk. Faith is knowing that nothing is going to take you

Read: Matthew 5:13-16 (Passion Translation) Are you salty? It’s interesting that how the world views an issue is usually the polar opposite of Scripture. Our modern day vernacular deems someone “salty
