Zip the lip

I often heard when I was younger growing up "if you can’t say something nice then don’t say nothing at all that’s" - so true. One of the verses that popped in my head was,"We are snared with the words of thy mouth" (prov 6:2.) The word snared means trapped and trapped means you can’t move. So if you have felt like your circumstances hasn’t changed lately then take inventory on your words because what you say is life or death (Prov 18:21) it also says in the word to put a guard over your mouth (Ps 141:3) Guard means to watch over in order to protect. God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth so I think He is wanting us to hear more and talk less especially if it’s not encouraging, lifting up,and edifying one another words that goes even for ourselves too. Change your words and your world will be changed!
